Celebrate the Holiday Season mingling with artists and collectors amongst world-class artworks. Enjoy drinks, hors d’oeuvres and musical entertainment by harpist Maria Banks. Take advantage of our silent auction to bid for highly sought-after works of art before they soon disappear into international private collections.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will support the arts and cultural programs, events and exhibitions of The Sylvia Wald & Po Kim Foundation and the Donghwa Cultural Foundation. We thank the Donghwa Ode Gallery for generously donating all commission proceeds from sales of its artists’ works in the silent auction.

About The Sylvia Wald & Po Kim Foundation

The Sylvia Wald & Po Kim Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts foundation promoting East-West cultural exchange through the arts. In addition to perpetuating and preserving its founder’s unique legacies and collections, the foundation supports the contemporary artistic community through exhibitions of international artists, with a primary focus on Asia and Korea.

The foundation’s programs incorporate three floors of temporary and permanent exhibition space – the 4th floor gallery and two upper floors with the founders’ studio-lofts and rooftop garden. By working together with international artists and institutions, the organization provides a catalyst for deeper intercultural dialogue between the diverse community of New York and the artistic communities of the world.

The foundation’s efforts to maintain and expand its exhibitions and special events would not be possible without your help. All our exhibitions and special events are presented free to the public because of donors like yourself.

About the Donghwa Cultural Foundation

Through a collaborative exchange of Eastern and Western cultures, the foundation aspires to raise deeper awareness and understanding of the diverse cultural makeup of our modern day society.

Providing educational programs on traditional Korean/Asian music, arts, dance, and food, Donghwa’s fundamental mission is to create a better understanding and appreciation for the intrinsic values, traditions and practices of East Asian cultures. All classes, programs, and events organized by the foundation implement a hands-on approach to learning, which offers an authentic first-hand experience of these millennia-old cultural principles.
